B.A. in Hispanic literatures and M.A. in Hispanic American literatures.
Born in Mexico City, raised in Guanajuato, and now a transplant living in the United States, I have first-hand experience with the tensions between center and periphery that are central to my reflections and that I engage with in my work. My research interests span from the intersections between art and literature, the consolidation of the literary field in Mexico, the historical avant-garde and its reception in Latin America, to the politics of contemporary Latin American cinema, and the history of armed movements in Mexico.
