Profile

Margarita Navarro was Senior Lecturer in Spanish until she retired in spring of 2002, specializing in linguistics, the history of the Spanish language, and the methodology of language teaching. She has published several articles on linguistics, as well as translations. In 1978 she was elected as a member of the New York Academy of Sciences. Dr. Navarro has created computerized quizzes for the Network and has developed a computerized project on literary readings for the teaching of Advanced Spanish.
