Bio/Description

Profile

María Florencia Chiaramonte (Ph.D. Brown University, 2022) is from Argentina, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Spanish Language and Culture from Mar del Plata National University (UNMdP). Her main field of study is literature, culture and visual art from 19th Century Latin America, with an emphasis on ethnic, indigenous and gender studies. She is passionate about language teaching and has been doing it for over 10 years. She is interested in the creation of content-based courses from the basic levels on, and the teaching of Spanish for Heritage Speakers. Before coming to Princeton, Flor worked at the Spanish for Foreigners program hosted by UNMdP, and taught and coordinated from beginners to advanced Spanish classes, as well as literature courses at Brown University.
