SPO Lecturers, Anna Alsina Naudi and Catalina Arango Correa, both professional translators, led an English into Spanish Translation Workshop for undergraduate students on Friday, April 18, at the Princeton Center for Language Study (PCLS).

The workshop supported a new student-driven initiative —brought to life by Emilia Reay 28’, who is interested in majoring in Spanish—that aims at translating news from the Daily Princetonian into Spanish for the benefit of the university’s Hispanic and Spanish-speaking communities.

The event brought together a group of motivated and engaged students, all eager to learn translation skills and contribute to a more inclusive campus media landscape. 

Alsina Naudi and Arango Correa praised the students’ attention to detail and commitment to this project that promotes linguistic equity and cultural inclusion on campus and beyond.
