The American Association of University Supervisors, Coordinators, and Directors of Language Programs (AAUSC) was founded in 1980 to help strengthen foreign language and second language instruction in the United States. Among its goals: improving second language instruction by developing language training programs, promoting research in second language acquisition, and establishing a forum for exchanging ideas, experiences, and materials among language programs.
