On Tuesday, April 23rd, students, faculty, graduate students, majors including new majors, and staff gathered at Palmer House for an End of Year Celebration!

Acting Chair, Christina Lee, began the evening with brief remarks and recognitions followed by Rafael Cesar (Director of Undergraduate Studies) and Javier Guerrero (Director of Graduate Studies) who announced this year's recipient of the Arcadio Díaz-Quiñones Prize for Excellence in Teaching, Nora Muñiz Hernández. The entire department thanked Christina Lee for her work as Acting Chair with a round of applause and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Attendees enjoyed a delicious meal followed by a night of dancing complete with disco lights and lively music!
