At the recent 5th Annual NYU Conference on Second Language Pedagogy  (Saturday, October 5th at Villanova University) Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Learning World Languages, Senior Lecturer Adriana Merino presented her research on how AI and Human Intelligence can work together in higher education. She discussed ways to use AI safely, ethically, and fairly, highlighting that while AI is a powerful tool, it’s meant to complement, not replace, human creativity and critical thinking. This approach aims to guide educators on using AI responsibly to enhance learning experiences.

Previous to that, Adriana was invited to share her work, in collaboration with Ben Johnston (Mc Graw Center for Teaching and Learning, Princeton University), at Villanova University, in a symposium on AI in language education, Code Meets Culture,  AI and the Future of Language, Literature, and Culture Pedagogy (September 26-27)
