A group of Princeton faculty and students traveled to Havana from February 19-23 for a series of panel discussions at Infraestudio in Havana.

About the book:
This book is an exciting new contribution to the field of Cuban architectural history. Edited by Rubén Gallo, this volume includes ten chapters, all written by Princeton University faculty and students. These emerged from a series of seminars and workshops organized by Rubén Gallo and Beatriz Colomina over the past few years. This volume offers theoretical readings of ten important buildings in Havana—ranging from the U.S. Embassy, designed by Harrison and Abramovitz in the early 1950s, to the Soviet Embassy designed by Alexandr Rochegov in the late 1980s—with an interdisciplinary approach framed by the lenses of theoretical and cultural studies, and exploring the connection between these buildings and history, politics, culture, literature, and film.
