SPO lecturers Eliot Raynor and César Romero Fernández received a Princeton Center for Language Study (PCLS) fellowship to design a virtual exchange program, currently being piloted with student assistants (featured image). As a central component of the SPA 103 course in Fall 2024, Princeton students will be having semi-guided conversations with Spanish-speaking peers at two partner universities in Latin America: Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (Lima, Peru) and Universidad de Córdoba (Montería, Colombia). Through these autonomous interactions and targeted audiovisual feedback from SPA 103 instructors, students will develop critical cultural awareness and oral proficiency in authentic conversation, as well as new friendships, perhaps!
