On May 22, Alejandro Martinez successfully defended his dissertation titled Poesía expandida. Artefactos poéticos, medios y participación en Chile durante la Guerra Fría (1952-1989), advised by Javier Guerrero.
Martinez is now an assistant professor at the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Chile. As a PhD student, he acknowledged the invaluable experience and profound impact Princeton has had on his academic journey. Martinez expressed that Princeton University, and especially the Spanish and Portuguese Department, will always feel like a second home to him. His gratitude extends to all who supported his doctoral studies and helped shape the scholar he is today.
