José's Update
"Life since graduation has been good. After about a month break, I started work here in Philadelphia at CHOP as a clinical research assistant. I'm currently working on a project in which we're building a database of pediatric patients diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. It's been really interesting to learn more about oncology and pediatrics and I've been lucky to have another great pair of mentors. I am also soon starting on a project in which I will interview patients and their families about they're experience with their disease so I'm excited to put some of the skills I built during my senior thesis to work.
Outside of work, I've really enjoyed the move to Philly as well. I've joined a soccer team with some of my friends and recently ran the Philadelphia Marathon! At the same time, I have continued volunteering at Einstein Medical School's student run clinic as an interpreter.”
