    Yasmina has successfully defended her dissertation “El Estrecho de Gibraltar y los Imaginarios del Cannabis: Culturas y Contraculturas Rifeño-Hispano-Magrebies (1859-1995).”

    Yasmina will be a Visiting Assistant Professor at Tulane University's Spanish and Portuguese Department.

  • Princeton in Spain students explore Madrid

    Students enrolled in Princeton in Spain spent a day exploring Madrid on Wednesday, June 19th. They began the day by meeting Professor Goretti González at the Plaza de Santa Ana where the Teatro Español, the oldest theater in Madrid, is located.

    From Barcelona to Buenos Aires and Madrid to Mexico City, Spanish rap music and hip-hop brings people from all different backgrounds together. Like the music itself, the spring course “Rapping in Spanish” did the same for Princeton students.

    Thomas Matusiak has successfully defended his dissertation, “The Visual Guillotine: Latin America and the Cinema of Cruelty .” Following graduation, Thomas will be a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Leslie Center for the Humanities and Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Dartmouth College.
