The Colombian Studies Group at Princeton will be hosting Rutgers University Assistant Professor Yesenia Barragan, who will be presenting her research and recent book “Freedom’s Captives: Slavery and Gradual Emancipation on the Colombian Black Pacific” which was just awarded the Wesley-Logan Prize in African diaspora history by the American Historical Association and the Association for the Study of African American Life & History.

The event will be open to the community and will feature an introduction and discussion by SPO professor Nicolás Sánchez Rodríguez.
