On the evening of March 9th, Puerto Rican composer Alfonso Fuentes Colón and special guest clarinetist Oskar Espina Ruiz performed a special musical dedication titled “Mapeyé Dulzura”, to Emeritus Professor from the Spanish and Portuguese Department, Arcadio Díaz Quiñones and his wife Alma Concepción. On March 9-11, 2023, SPO students, alumni and faculty came together and presented their research at the 69th Annual Meeting of Renaissance Society of America in San Juan, Puerto Rico. 

SPA204 students will be traveling to ECUADOR during spring break where they will work to help children resolve neglected eye health conditions. Dr. Ángela Cepero of Spain helped provide them with valuable insight ahead of this amazing adventure.
